On-Location Pricing

Rate cards are available for different types of bookings and rates differ for daily, weekly and long form bookings.

All these pieces of gear are available in different combinations, but they make up three complete location sound kits with rechargeable batteries and wireless monitoring for directors, producers and continuity person. These kits are available for rental and the rental rate will be determined by the configuration required. A basic two chain, one boom mic, plus the Zoom F4, or Tascam Dr701D goes for R1500.00 per day.

The Zaxcom kit comes with myself as an operator and rates are determined by the requirements of the project, as described above and are market related.

Equipment List

Recording Equipment

    • Depending on the front of house setup, the recording rig consists of, either 48 tracks of izcorp RADAR24 recorders, a Danté system, or a combination of the two options.
    • Multichannel versions of mic pre-amps are available from True Systems, Focusrite, Soundcraft, Benchmark, plus individual channels of Grace designs.
    • Monitoring is via a Yamaha O1V96 with digital inputs and KRK V6 monitors.
    • An Appsys Multiverter MVS-64 is available for format conversion between MADI, Danté and ADAT and as a 64 channel digital splitter.
    • Transformer balanced three way splitters plus the necessary looms are available for true analog interfacing and recording to the RADAR24’s. Backup recordings are done on two laptops running anything like Nuendo Live 2, Cubase V9.0, or Reaper software.

  • A full post-production service for mixing in stereo, or multichannel surround is available in conjunction with the studio.
  • Depending on the number of tracks required and the number of concerts to be recorded, prices are negotiable.
